According to Avast Forums, a very malevolent virus is being planned for release by hackers on Easter Day. The “Easter Bunny” virus, as it has been come to be called, infects computers through infected china websites. It is not as malicious as it is irritating, for what it does.
According to McAfee, it infects, first by entering through a website you have landed on then it is redirected to a .cn (China) site. Once your computer is infected it will restart and you will see an Easter Bunny Image (as seen below).
When it infects your computer, it will replicate every Icon you have on your desktop as well as in your “Start” Menu into an “Easter Egg” Icon as well as double the amount of Icons you have within your computer (as seen below).
