Microsoft has been promoting Internet Explorer 8.0 for several weeks now due to the security that is provided along with it. It is supposed to be backwards compatible with XP machines. Although this is true, there is a slight problem. It is not as compatible with machines that are older than three years. I have noticed that it causes unusual issues such as not being able to connect to the internet. You see IE 8.0 is primarily for Vista and machines that have XP and are three years and younger.
So do not upgrade to Internet Explorer 8.0 if you have an XP machine that is three years old or older. Rather, you should rely on Avast’s security then do the upgrade and possibly have problems. If you have upgraded to IE 8.0 and you have not experienced any problems then do not be alarmed. You should be fine.
If you’re not sure what type of Internet explorer you have then just go to “Help” at the top of your browser and choose the “About” option and this will tell you what version you have. Also, watch for the update and uncheck it in the update options box and tell it to leave it alone, if you do have an XP machine that is three years old or older.
If you are having any such issue with IE 8.0 and an XP machine the please call me at (623) 247-0290 immediately before any harm comes to your computer.
